Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation : Tom Cruise Going rogue

Plot:

With the IMF now disbanded and Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) out in the cold, a new threat -- called the Syndicate -- soon emerges. The Syndicate is a network of highly skilled operatives who are dedicated to establishing a new world order via an escalating series of terrorist attacks. Faced with what may be the most impossible mission yet, Ethan gathers his team and joins forces with Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson), a disavowed British agent who may or may not be a member of this deadly rogue nation.

Review :

If you’ve ever seen a Mission: Impossible movie, you already know the drill. IMF agent Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) is once again on the run, and once again he has to engage in a string of death-defying stunts to save himself, his agency, and the world. And once again, it all looks jaw-droppingly cool.

Christopher McQuarrie directed this time around, and Simon Pegg, Jeremy Renner, Ving Rhames, Rebecca Ferguson, and Alec Baldwin star with Cruise. Watch the new Mission Impossible Rogue Nation trailer after the jump.

It couldn’t have been easy for Cruise and the filmmakers to figure out a way to top the Burj Khalifa stunt from Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. But between the airplane stunt (for which Cruise actually strapped himself outside an airplane) and the underwater scene (for which Cruise held his breath for six minutes), it’s safe to say Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation won’t skimp in thrills.

Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation lands in theaters July 31.

  1. Tom Cruise is sure to be great as always, and after Jeremy Renner’s excellent turn as Hawkeye in Age of Ultron, I am looking forward to seeing more of him in the film.

  2. No one goes into a Mission Impossible movie expecting top notch acting, beautiful cinematography, and a philosophical script (although the movie is not entirely devoid of these things), you go to a Mission Impossible movie to have fun and see some exhilarating action sequences with moments that make you ask yourselves "how did they film that?".
